Handmade in Durham. Striped Italian walnut beads for the Hail Marys, dark walnut for the Our Fathers, knotted onto black paracord. A large brass Sacred Heart centre medal and a brass St Benedict crucifix — the heavier end of what I make, with some weight in the hand.
The beads are tied with a finger’s width of give rather than pulled tight, so they slide along the cord and hold your place when you put it down mid-decade. It’s made to be used, not kept in a drawer.
This is a one-off. There’s one, it’s this one, and when it’s gone the next one will be a bit different.
