Handmade in Durham. Carved cream Italian wood beads — each one cut with a small rose — knotted onto black paracord, with a silver crucifix set inside a crown of thorns.
The roses aren’t decoration for its own sake. Rosary means a garden of roses, and this is the only one I make where you can feel that under your thumb.
There’s no centre medal. The beads are tied with a finger’s width of give rather than pulled tight, so they slide along the cord and hold your place when you put it down mid-decade. It’s made to be used, not kept in a drawer.
This is a one-off. There’s one, it’s this one, and when it’s gone the next one will be a bit different.
